Shop Till You Drop

Whatever your shopping needs while you work in Spain, the Costa del Sol offers plenty of retail choice. Along with Spanish chain stores, there are also plenty of shops with names familiar to ex-pats working overseas such as Topshop, Wallis, Habitat and Dunnes Stores (located in Fuengirola, Coín and Malaga).

When it comes to food, Marbella has numerous supermarkets and specialist food shops including the indoor market - 5 mins from the Obelisk offices - open daily in the mornings. For those on recruitment in Spain in Marbella, Supersol and Mercadona supermarkets have several stores in and around the city.

La Cañada shopping centre, located just outside the centre of Marbella, is one of the largest in Andalucia and is widely considered by foreigners working in Spain to be one of the best. La Cañada offers a vast range of shops for homeware (e.g. Habitat and Zara Home), DIY (Leroy Merlin) and clothes (from designer such as Pepe Jeans to high street retailers such as H&M, Topshop and Zara) as well as a huge Alcampo hypermarket, cafés and restaurants, a cinema and bowling alley. Nearby Fuengirola has the large Miramar shopping centre and there are several located in and around Malaga.

Spain's flagship department store, El Corte Ingles, is situated in Puerto Banus and offers an extensive range of goods and services, although El Corte Ingles tends to be more expensive than other shops. Banus also offers the ultimate in designer shopping with numerous haute couture boutiques - Gucci, Fendi, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Versace to name just a few.

With its huge choice of shopping amenities, the Costa del Sol is a prime choice for recruitment abroad.
